What makes a grown man think he can verbally attack a pensioner who, incidently, needs the aid of a stick to walk just because he didn't like his son being criticised for his playing ability.Apparently he said that although people were entitled to their point of view it makes him angry when his son is criticised. He also went on to say that his son was one of the better players in the side, but was being played out of position by the manager to accommodate a different playing style and other players.
This begs the question that if he is that good a player in midfield then he should be able to adapt his style of play to fit in.Also if his dad thinks he is that good and he is not getting a fair crack of the whip then why is he not pushing him to play for another club at a higher level.Perhaps this is another case of a farther trying to live his life through his son.
As I follow what is said on the forum I notice that a certain person comments quite a bit on a particular midfielder and how well he has played while running down his fellow colleagues.Could this be the same person who complains when his own son is criticised?
I have deliberately not named the person or player, they know who they are.I do know that somebody else is informing the committee of what occurred as they do not think that this is the way a long term supporter and thoroughly nice person should be spoken to,especially in front of home supporters at a Royston away match.
No doubt there is bound to be a vitriolic response but I will possibly refrain from entering into an argument but will monitor the situation closely and make a judgement later.
